Below is a short piece I compiled as part of a free creative writing course with the Spread the Word create-write-connect campaign.  #CreateWriteConnect.  This course has now ended but I will be posting other pieces so keep checking!

Prayer / manifesto for the future

Let me be a safe haven to all who come to me for advice and reassurance 

May I take time out to be kind to myself and others 

Let me please to keep writing through my worries 

May I promise to share my creative endeavours with all 

May I not be ashamed of my creativity 

May I take time out to treat myself to good things 

Let me refresh my thoughts each day 

May I live to write the tales that I want people to hear 

May I be the writer of the insignificant things that everyone overlooks 

Let me take some time out to enjoy music whenever I please 

May I  be kind and generous 

May I be healthy and full of laughter 

Let me be the fantastic person I strive to be.
